AAWL/SPCA Day Camp – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What grade do I sign my child up for?
A: You must sign your child up according to age appropriate grouping.
Q: Can my 6 year old and 10 year old attend the same class?
A: No. For the benefit of the classes and the campers we follow strict guidelines on age ranges and grade levels.
Q: How many weeks can I sign up for?
A: You register for Camp one week at a time, with no maximum. Please know that the curriculum is repeated from week to week.
Q: What will the kids do all day?
A: AAWL/SPCA’s Camp is filled with activities! There will be guided tours, crafts, games, special activities and occasional behind-the-scenes experiences.
Q: What is the camper to adult ratio?
A: There are approximately 25 children in each camp, with one instructor, one assistant and one Teen Track volunteers. The maximum enrollment for the 6-8 class and Camp Vet is 20 children.
Q: Are the children supervised at all times?
A: Yes, children are never left unsupervised. Our staff have all been background checked, have had a week of extensive training and they are all both CPR and First Aid certified.
Q: Can we sign up with a friend?
A: Yes, when you register. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but cannot make guarantees.
Q: Can you tell me if my child’s friend has already signed up for Camp?
A: Privacy laws do not allow us to share that information.
