Cool Companions
Have you always wanted to have an iguana for a pet? Or maybe birds are your flight of fancy. During the hour-long presentation, our knowledgeable staff covers everything from habitats and adaptations to caring for exotic animals. Cool Companions is a live animal presentation where students can have hands-on interaction with our exotic ambassadors. We will discuss the care and needs of a variety of Cool Companions and explore their natural history

Muttly Crew
Let our Muttly Crew, Emma (Yellow  Labrador) and Kaia (Golden Retriever) teach your students the value of proper dog interaction. Children learn the importance of dog safety and what to do in an emergency situation by interacting with AAWL/SPCA’s dog ambassadors. Both dogs are Canine Good Citizen certified and know many fun and exciting behaviors. This hour-long program inspires children to be safe around all animals.

Animals Can Talk?
The wag of a tail, the twitch of an ear, or the meow of a cat are all ways animals communicate. Although animals do not express themselves with words, they use different signs. Understanding animal body language is an important part of providing them with proper care. During this one-hour, live animal presentation your students will discover the ways animals really “talk”.

Things That Make You Go…Eww!
Explore the exciting world of creepy critters! From slithering snakes to terrifying tarantulas your students will experience the not-so-cuddly animals of the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA. Learn why these animals are beneficial to our environment during this hour-long, live animal presentation. Through hands-on interactions, students will discover the unique features of some of our creepy critters and learn that they are not so creepy after all.
